Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for answering the toll free appointment scheduling number and obtaining necessary information from injured workers to assist them with scheduling their initial appointments
  • Enters intakes and schedules initial appointments to include, physical therapy and MRI’s. Enters all appointments in the appropriate Premier Comp database screens
  • Receives email, fax and online referrals from referral sources to schedule specialists, Diagnostic and PT to include referrals from: Concentra, Med Express, WORKNET, etc. This may include setting up insurance companies and employers in the CMS system as non-managed accounts
  • Faxes initial appointment confirmations to providers and assigns managed files to an Injury Care Specialist for follow-up
  • Submits non-managed claims to claim verification when scheduling network appointments
  • Ensures that daily follow-ups (tasks) are completed timely to ensure all referrals are scheduled appropriately
  • Assist with the training of new Intake personnel as directed by the Intake Coordinator and/or Intake Manager
  • Adheres to all account/carrier special instructions, and informs the Client Services department of any problems in the database with regards to accounts, carriers or providers
  • Assists the Injury Care Department with calls, contacting physician offices to obtain outstanding patient status reports or scheduling follow-up, specialist and /or PT/MRI appointments during high volume periods, or when other staff members are out of the office

 

Other duties may be assigned as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experienced with computer data entry
  • Familiar with Medical Terminology through course work, or relevant work experience
  • Typing 45 – 50 WPM
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented
